Introduction of the Parts Specialists
Lars (Team Captain)
From the first hour as a Parts Specialist, I have been supporting all workshop professionals in their day-to-day work with vehicle parts and accessories since 2017. I am happy to share my knowledge and practical tips in our videos. After my training as a vehicle mechatronics technician in an independent workshop, I worked in an authorised workshop for a few years and then joined the Aftersales Service department at Diesel Technic. With the support of the company, I was able to educate myself further as a master mechanic while working. I have been working for the company for over 10 years now and work as a group leader in the Aftersales Service (DTQS). As a member of the Parts Specialists team, I appreciate the mixture of team and independent work. Thanks to my many years of work experience in the workshop, I can also contribute to ensuring product quality and integrate my ideas and feedback from end customers into product improvements. In my spare time, I play football and table football and I’m also interested in American football. Moreover, I invest a lot of time in my own home and make sure we have a sufficient supply of wood for our heating system.

As part of the international Parts Specialists team, I have been in front of the camera regularly since 2019 to give our workshop professionals hints and tips for a stress-free working day. After my training and several years in the workshop of a large haulage, I joined Diesel Technic at the end of 2015. After an intensive training period, I have spent the last few years independently developing products for a wide range of product groups. As a developer in the engineering & development department, I look after our workshop network, among other things, where we test products under real conditions in practice and optimise our products in a lively exchange. During my free time, I look after my family and our house. I love being on the football pitch or supporting various local activities organised by the rural youth, shooting club and voluntary fire brigade.

After my training as an automotive mechatronics technician and working in the workshop for several years, I joined Diesel Technic’s quality assurance department in 2017. Since then, I support the DTQS team on a daily basis with the technical inspection of products in our constantly growing product range. My professional experience and the expertise I acquired at Diesel Technic also help me to support our Parts Specialists team, for which I also work in front of the camera. As technical support at product presentations and training courses for our international customers, I provide valuable practical tips and advices on product application. In this way, I get the chance to get in direct personal contact with our customers and receive their honest feedback at first hand in order to constantly improve our product and service quality. In my spare time, I enjoy photography, film work and music, as well as projects in the field of electrical engineering.
Rolf
In the Parts Specialists team, I am the expert for electrical parts and like to explain in the videos what is important to ensure that our products are not damaged during installation. During my training as an automotive mechanic and following further training to become a master automotive mechanic, I worked in a car dealership for over 30 years, including 18 years as the responsible workshop foreman. In 2012, I joined Diesel Technic as a “measurement and test technician for vehicle electrics and lighting”, where I am responsible for the electrical components. In my current role as group leader in the engineering & development department, I make sure that only the best products are put on the market. My hobbies are working around the house and garden and volunteering for the fire department.

As a senior member of the Parts Specialists team, I use all my experience to support my colleagues and our customers. After my training as an automotive mechanic and further training as a master mechanic, I successfully completed my examination to become a certified service advisor. After seven years as a vehicle mechanic at a haulage company and twenty years as a foreman in a large commercial vehicle workshop, I have been with Diesel Technic for more than 12 years. In the Parts Specialists team, I manage the technical HelpDesk and deal with all questions about our DT Spare Parts brand products. My daily challenge is to solve technical enquiries or assembly problems as quickly as possible so that our customers can continue their work quickly. At Diesel Technic, I support presentations and training courses as a trainer for our global customers. Meeting people from different countries is always a priceless experience. In my spare time, I am a family man who enjoys playing the saxophone and riding my motorbike in the summer.
Tobias
Since 2018, I have been supporting our customers in the Middle East and in West and East Africa as part of the Parts Specialists team. As Head of Quality at the Dubai/UAE site, I find it particularly interesting to analyse the different requirements and challenges of the markets and offer our customers specific solutions. We use various channels to communicate with our customers. This makes it easier for everyone to deal with enquiries in order to maintain a high level of quality and customer satisfaction. After completing my training as an automotive mechatronics technician, I was able to gain experience in the workshops and production departments of several leading car manufacturers. I always particularly enjoyed diagnosing electronic systems. I have completed further training in quality management and business management and enjoy passing on this knowledge and my experience. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and doing various sport activities, such as fitness training, volleyball and swimming.

As a Parts Specialist since 2019 I receive questions and problems from mechanics in Asia Pacific and help to improve their work processes. I enjoy to share my knowledge and experience to them. Due to our geographical location I have the chance to visit many workshops in my region. I started 2007 as a trainee at Scania and became the Parts and Services Sales Manager in 2014 before I joined Diesel Technic as a Technical Consultant in 2017. Now I’m the Aftersales Service Manager at Diesel Technic Asia Pacific and a member of the Parts Specialists team. I appreciate the company to provide a stage to perform my technical expertise. In my spare time, I like fishing and listening to music. Besides, I do sports such as badminton and cycling.
Sebas
I’m Parts Specialist for Spain and Portugal. Since the beginning, I have been a member of the Parts Specialists team. After 16 years at Diesel Technic in the Aftersales department, I have a lot of experience in servicing and advising workshops. I joined the Parts Specialists Spain team in order to have more contact with the workshops and to be able to visit them and be present in their day to day life and to share experiences and new knowledge. In order to ensure a constant product development and the best service, I share all these experiences with our colleagues in Germany. Apart from that, I am passionate about vehicles and all kinds of motor sports. I spend most of my free time with my family and especially with my little daughter.

As a member of the Parts Specialists I support end users in workshops and fleets in their daily work. In doing so, I love being in direct contact with mechanics and helping them. To contribute to the development and improvement of our products, I share my practical experiences with my colleagues in Spain and Germany. Meanwhile, I have now been responsible for the Aftersales Service for Spain and Portugal for over 13 years. I have a mechanical background, which allows me to provide my knowledge to consultations of end users and give the best service. I love playing basketball, riding, repairing my motorbike and travelling all over the world.
Jordan
I’m the Parts Specialist and deputy Quality Coordinator for France and in the Customer Service team I’m responsible for all technical requests. I studied and I’ve been graduated in mechanics and aftersales for heavy equipment and handling equipment. During my studies I worked for dealers for handling equipment. My study project was about the implementation of preventive maintenance in a software company. After my study, I worked in the workshop at a heavy equipment dealer for six years where I was in charge of reconditioning end-of-life machines, systems and components to “like-new” condition. Thanks to this experience, I developed extensive technical knowledge as well as the skills which enables me to analyse the wear and tear of parts. My passion is motorsports and I participate in many events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Simone
I’m the Parts Specialist in Italy and started in 2017 at Diesel Technic. I enjoy my role because I’m a mechanical and automotive enthusiast and for me is a pleasure to support our end users to identify spare parts by VIN code or cross-reference or to provide further technical details and additional photos of the parts. Before that I worked as seller and service receptionist in a car and LCV dealer and always attended workshops of friends, so I learnt the basic needs of mechanics. Thanks to these experiences I’m able to do some maintenance and repairs myself, for example to my car and my Piaggio Vespa. In my free time I like sports activities, such as going to the gym, cycling and skiing in winter. Besides, I look after my house, do gardening and like DIY works.
Lee

I enjoy the hands-on approach with a strong focus on all things mechanical, with experience testing, repairing and reconditioning equipment. I’m passionate about sharing my technical knowledge and being able readily to assist customers and colleagues. My spare time is spent enjoying riding and maintaining motorcycles, keeping fit and getting out and about in the English countryside.
